Ingredients
Method
Prep the campfire
- Build a campfire or light a fire pit and let it burn down until it’s hot coals with no visible flames.
Assemble and toast
- Place a piece of milk chocolate on half of a graham cracker so it sits flat and ready to melt.
- Skewer a marshmallow on a roasting stick and hold it over the coals, rotating slowly, until golden and toasted, about 2–3 minutes.
- Carefully slide the toasted marshmallow onto the chocolate so it lands centered and softens the chocolate.
- Top with the second graham cracker half and press gently for 15–20 seconds until the chocolate melts and the filling spreads slightly.
Finish and serve
- Repeat with the remaining graham crackers, milk chocolate bars, and marshmallows, then serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
For the best texture, toast the marshmallows just until golden (not dark brown) so they stay light and stretchy after sandwiching. Serve immediately after pressing so the chocolate melts and the graham stays crisp. Refrigeration will soften the graham; store leftovers in the fridge up to 2 days (best quality the same day) and rewarm briefly at room temperature for a few minutes. Dietary swap: use dairy-free chocolate and dairy-free marshmallows to make a dairy-free version.
